Unblocd collects the following personal data:

  • Payment Data: Managed through Stripe. (Unblocd does not have access to card details.)

  • Email Engagement Data: Email opens and clicks.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, cookies.
  • Feedback and Survey Data: User-shared responses to feedback forms, surveys, and course tasks.
  • Attendance Data: Participation in virtual meetings and Q&A sessions.
  • Partner Climbing Gym Association: Details of partner gym association when applicable.

How Do We Collect Your Data?

We collect your data in the following ways:
  • Directly from you: During registration, course engagement, surveys, or communications.
  • Indirectly based on your actions: Technical and usage data is collected automatically,
  • Via Partner Climbing Gyms: When gyms request access for their staff or members.

Data Retention Policy

We retain your data while you are an active customer. If you cancel, data is retained for 3 years to facilitate reactivation. Payment-related data is retained for 6 years as required by Finnish law. After these periods, your data is securely deleted or anonymized.

How Do We Use Your Data?

Unblocd uses your data for:
  • Managing subscriptions and delivering services.
  • Improving course content and marketing analytics.
  • Communicating updates, promotional offers, or service changes.
  • Analyzing course impact and conducting research to support the climbing community.
  • Sharing aggregated data (e.g., customer acquisition, revenue) with partner climbing gyms to fulfill contractual obligations.


If you are a staff member of a partner climbing gym, we may share data about your course completion status with the partner gym. Individual responses from staff will not be shared without explicit consent.

Marketing Preferences and Data Sharing

You can opt out of marketing communications during registration or at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails.

Unblocd does not share personal data with third parties (other than potentially with Climbing Psychology) for co-marketing purposes.
